An exciting opportunity for an Accounts Assistant has arisen to join my client in their small Finance function. The role is a fixed term contract, for a period of circa nine months. The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role, and must be available for a quick start date.

Description

As the Accounts Assistant, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Processing invoices and maintaining accurate financial records
  • Ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded
  • Responding to invoice queries
  • Supporting the Finance Manager with ad-hoc tasks as required
  • Assisting with month-end and financial planning processes
  • Participating in processing staff expenses
  • Reviewing aged debtor reports
  • Ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations
  • Assisting with financial data entry tasks
  • Ad-hoc support to the Finance team in Lewes

Profile

A successful Accounts Assistant should have:

  • Proficiency in financial software programs
  • Experience working in a similar role - Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant, Bookkeeper etc.
  • A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
